Terms of Use
The terms on which you may use this website and enquire about our services.
Last updated: 24 October 2026
1. About us
This website is operated by The Skin Advisory. To contact us, email contact@theskinadvisory.com.
2. Using this website
You may use this website for lawful, personal purposes — to learn about our service and to make an enquiry. You must not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or submit false information.
3. This website is information, not medical advice
The content on this website is general information about skin conditions and our service. It is not medical advice and should not be relied on as a diagnosis or a treatment recommendation. Always seek advice from a qualified clinician about your individual situation. In an emergency, call 999.
4. Making an enquiry
Submitting an enquiry does not create a clinical relationship, guarantee that we can help, or guarantee any particular treatment. We review each enquiry and respond with whether we can help and how to proceed. Any consultation, treatment and prescribing is subject to separate clinical terms and to the clinician's professional judgement.
5. Fees
Enquiries are free and there is no obligation to proceed. If we can help, your clinician will confirm the consultation fee before anything is booked. Medication and any tests are charged separately by the pharmacy or testing provider — see our Pricing page.
Consultations are paid in advance through a secure payment link sent by your clinician. There is no payment on this website.
6. Cancelling or rearranging
- If you cancel or rearrange at least 24 hours before your appointment, you can choose a full refund or a new time.
- If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or miss your appointment, the fee may not be refunded.
- If we need to cancel, we'll offer you a new time or a full refund.
- If your clinician decides during your consultation that an online service isn't right for you, we'll explain why and tell you where to go instead.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
7. Intellectual property
The content, design and branding of this website belong to us or our licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.
8. Our liability
We take reasonable care to make sure the information on this website is accurate and up to date, but it is general information and not a substitute for an individual consultation. We are not responsible for any loss caused by relying on it in place of professional advice.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
9. Links to other sites
Where we link to other websites (for example, the GPhC or NHS), we are not responsible for their content.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is always the one published here.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
12. Complaints
