Urticaria

Assessment and treatment review for chronic urticaria (hives) and related persistent itching.

Who we can help

  • Chronic spontaneous urticaria
  • Chronic inducible urticaria and dermatographism
  • Recurrent hives that aren't controlled on standard antihistamine doses
  • Anyone wanting to review treatment and understand next-step options

When we may not be the right service

  • Hives with other symptoms suggesting a systemic cause may need investigation
  • Angioedema (swelling) affecting the face without airway symptoms still needs careful, prompt assessment
Please read Sudden swelling affecting the tongue or throat, difficulty breathing, or symptoms of anaphylaxis are a medical emergency. Call 999 rather than booking an online consultation.

How your consultation works

Every initial consultation combines a medical questionnaire, photos of the affected skin, and a live video call with Ivnit or Ersa — so any treatment decision is made with the full picture, never from a form alone.

Treatment approach

Our clinicians can consider a wide range of evidence-based dermatology treatments. Any recommendation depends on your diagnosis, medical history, previous treatments, current medicines, monitoring requirements and individual circumstances — and is always discussed and agreed with you.

Where prescription treatment is appropriate, we issue a private prescription after your consultation. You choose which pharmacy dispenses it. Medication costs are charged by that pharmacy, separately from the consultation fee.

Follow-up

Skin treatment rarely ends with a single prescription. Where it helps, we'll agree a review and monitoring plan so we can see how your skin responds and adjust the approach over time.

Every enquiry is reviewed personally by Ivnit or Ersa before any treatment plan is suggested.
